Pete's new single speed cross bike is a bit
over the top for its primary role of daily commuter in Chicago,
but why make the daily grind boring? The other Steelman bikes
in Pete's stable are tig welded so he opted for traditional lugged
construction on the latest creation. I built the frame using
light steel tubes from Dedacciai and Columbus. Carefully shaped
long point lugs with old Cinelli style drilling add style and
strength. The whole package came together beautifully with a
diverse parts spec and a carefully applied powder coat finish
from Spectrum Powder Works. Thanks Pete and enjoy navigating
the Chicago traffic with distinction.
