Check out Tony's new custom road bike.
Tony, who runs Cyclefit inside Tacoma Bike, in Tacoma Washington,
asked me if I would build him a new racing frame. These days
that is a novel idea given the near complete absence of steel
frames in any peloton anywhere. Tony has designed and raced lots
of bikes from all the popular materials, but he felt it was time
to revisit steel. What we built was a full-on crit/road race
frame Tacoma style: weatherized that is. It's the fastest bike
with fenders you will ever see and Tony tells me it is the best
bike he has ever ridden. Maybe he will (re)introduce some bike
racers to steel. What a concept. Thanks Tony!
